Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
Formed in 1947, the CIA’s mission is to support the President, the National Security Council, and all officials who make and execute the U.S. national security policy by providing and acting on information related to foreign intelligence and national security.

Osama bin Laden Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI)
The FBI upholds the law through the investigation of violations of federal criminal law, protects the United States from foreign intelligence and terrorist activities, and provides leadership and law enforcement assistance to federal, state, local, and international agencies.

Osama bin Laden National Security Agency (NSA)
The NSA coordinates, directs, and performs highly specialized activities to protect U.S. information systems and produce foreign intelligence information. Much of their work involves making and breaking codes.

Secret Intelligence Service (MI6)
Formed in England in 1911, its role is similar to the CIA. It obtains and provides information relating to the actions or intentions of persons outside the British Islands, and performs other tasks relating to these in relation to the interests of national security.
MI6 does not have a web site.


Security Service (MI5)
The Security Service is the UK's security intelligence agency. Its function is close to that of the FBI. Its purpose is to protect national security from threats such as terrorism, espionage and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, to safeguard the economic well-being of the UK against foreign threats, and to support the law enforcement agencies in preventing and detecting serious crime.

Interpol
With the advent of new ways to travel, international crime has grown significantly. When investigations became bogged down due to country's borders, Interpol was formed. It is a collaboration between many member states that seeks to fight crime internationally.
