SKYSCRAPER HIT
TAMPA - As Charles Bishop piloted a stolen Cessna 172R toward Tampa's skyline, the crew of a U.S Coast Guard helicopter repeatedly signaled the 15-year-old high school freshman to land. Bishop ignored them. After taking off from Clearwater, crossing Tampa Bay and breaching airspace over MacDill Air Force Base, Bishop plowed his plane into the 28th floor of the Bank of America Plaza, 101 E. Kennedy Blvd.
