Progress Energy will match any donations made to the American Red Cross until August 27th. For more information visit their website at www.progress-energy.com.

SUNTRUST BANK:
SunTrust Bank, along with News Channel 8, The Tampa Tribune and TBO.com, have partnered with the United Way to help victims of Hurricane Charley. Beginning Mon., Aug. 16, all SunTrust branch locations in the News Channel 8 viewing area will be accepting monetary donations to help in the recovery and rebuilding of the affected counties. You may designate a specific county you want your donation to help or you can make a general donation, which will be divided among the devastated areas. Cash and checks will be accepted at all Suntrust Branch locations. Checks should be made out to the Hurricane Charley Recovery Donation Fund. The United Way of Tampa Bay will facilitate distribution of the funds to the appropriate counties. Your donation is tax deductible. For more information please stop by your local branch.
