We need your help tracking precisely how and when candidates, political parties, political action groups, and pollsters are contacting our viewers. This will help us provide better coverage of Election 2004.
It's simple. Just e-mail us or call us as soon as you get any of these:
-a political ad, flyer, or brochure either in the mail at home or at work
-a political ad, flyer, or brochure at some gathering (debate, candidate forum, concert, church, mall, etc.)
-a phone call from a candidate, political party, or some political group (including friends or neighbors)
-a recorded message from a candidate, political party, or some political group
-a knock on your door from a candidate, political party, or some political group
-a newsletter urging you to vote for or against someone or some issue
-a call from a pollster
E-mail us or call us. We will get in touch with you and ask you a few questions about who contacted you, when, and what they wanted you to do:
Our e-mail address: usf_wflaadtrack@hotmail.com
Our phone number: 813-974-5351; you may leave messages here.
We would also like for you to keep any mail, brochures, or newsletters for us that you receive between now and election day. Just date them when you get them and throw them in a box. We may ask you to send them to us at some point. If so, we will provide the postage and mailing envelope to you.
Dr. Susan MacManus, a political science professor at USF and WFLA News Channel 8's political analyst, is directing this project and being assisted by her student, Amber Davis.
